Microsoft is taking stern actions against pirated games. If you have played Halo: Reach on your XBOX Live Connected XBOX 360 after downloading a pirated version of the game, you may get surprised to see your live account getting permanently banned. This announcement has been made by Microsoft officials and they don’t intend to reinstate those accounts either.

After the banning, an official mail will be sent to the person who played that pirated game and this mail will be confirming the ban. According to the officials, such actions are against the terms of services being maintained by XBOX team.

This step taken by Microsoft is expected to be a strong measure against people playing pirated games. The gaming industry has been suffering a lot these days due to the pirated versions of games found everywhere and so far many of the strategies taken have not worked. It will be interesting to see whether Microsoft’s latest strategy controls piracy or not.
