US audiences will be able to see “Where Do We Go Now?” right at a theater near their home. Sony Pictures Classics has acquired the US rights of the Lebanese film which has won the People’s Choice Award in the Toronto Film Festival. The film has already been announced as the official Lebanese entry in the Oscar’s Best Foreign Language Film category. Incidentally, the movie discusses the life of a woman who tries to ease the tension between Christians and Muslims in her small village.

Manchester City officials have decided to suspend their star player Carlos Tevez after the Argentine star apparently refused to play in the Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Roberto Mancini, the manager of the club has already stated that Tevez’s career at the club was over right at the moment when he refused to get off from the substitution bench in the 2nd half of the match. Bayern Munich incidentally defeated Manchester City 2-0 in the match.

Rezwan Ferdaus, a 26-year-old man has been arrested by US Federal Police for planning a bomb attack on Pentagon. Rezwan planned to use a remote-controlled aircraft filled with explosives for this purpose and actually discussed the plot with some Federal police agents whom he believed to be members of the al-Qaeda.
Undercover federal agents even delivered him some machine guns, grenades and explosives to gain trust. However, Federal police added that these arms and explosives were closely monitored so that security of normal people is not harmed in any possible way. …

Caroline Wozniacki, the top ranked woman tennis player and defending champion has lost in the 3rd round of Pan Pacific Open to Kaia Kanepi. Kanepi, the 43rd ranked player defeated Wozniacki in a thrilling 3 setter and advanced to the quarterfinal of the tournament: 7-5, 1-6, 6-4.

Sony Pictures is not willing to pay the expenses of the 3D glasses anymore. They have already conveyed the message to the movie theaters to cough up with the cash starting from next year’s May. This is not however the first time, when a major studio has tried to put the cost burden of 3D Glasses into the theater owners.
