Justin Bieber undoubtedly has millions of fans and when news of his car crash surfaced, fans all over the world got worried. To their relief, the singer is not at all harmed and is doing fine. A Honda Civic actually bumped on the Ferrari that Bieber was driving, but there was no visible damage in either the Honda or the Ferrari, according to reports.

The defending champion Rafael Nadal has moved into the 2nd round of US Open after defeating Andrey Golubev, the 98th ranked player from Kazakhstan in straight sets: 6-3, 7-6 (7-1), 7-5. Hurricane Irene destruction worth $71 million in North Carolina

Around 1100 homes were destroyed by Hurricane Irene in the hardest hit counties of North Carolina, as estimated by Beverly Perdue, the Governor. The total damage is actually worth a whopping $71 million and it will only increase by several million dollars when the agricultural losses are counted in. Perdue expects to come up with a final estimated damage figures by the end of next week.

Suicide bombing at a Baghdad mosque kills 24

Baghdad has been attacked yet again. Umm al-Qura mosque which is an important religious site for the Sunni Muslims in the Iraqi capital was blasted by a suicide bomber who disguised himself as a beggar. The incident killed 24 innocents including a lawmaker of the country. The bomb blasted right after everyone finished their prayers, as confirmed by local officials.

A total of 6 songs of Lady Gaga have been banned by the Ministry of Culture Department of China as those were not submitted for Government screening which is mandatory in this Asian country.
