Sony’s new portable gaming console unveiled

In a special media event in the Japanese capital Tokyo, Sony, the Japanese entertainment giant has unveiled their latest portable gaming console which is touchscreen as well. The device does not have an official name as of yet but has a codename of its own for now – “Next Generation Portable.” According to Sony, this new console should emerge as a big competition for both Apple and Nintendo in the mobile gaming market.

Microsoft profits drop marginally, Kinect and Windows 7 are big hits

Both Kinect controllers and Microsoft’s computers have found huge amount of customers, however the net profit of the company has slipped in the last quarter of 2010, in comparison with what it was in 2009. In the quarter ending 31st December, 2010, Microsoft has profited a total of $6.63 billion, which was $6.66 billion just a year ago.
